The Fabric of Freedom, May 17 to June 8
This year marks the 50th anniversary of Pride celebrations in Washington, DC. It is made even more momentous as the city is hosting WorldPride 2025.
WorldPride brings together voices from around the world to support the LGBTQ+ community’s ongoing effort for equality, visibility, and justice.
The Fabric of Freedom theme emphasizes our community, woven together through our rich cultures, diverse identities and backgrounds.
We encourage everyone to participate in this historic moment. Show up and support Pride events in Washington DC or wherever you are.

June 7 - WorldPride Parade
Experience the WorldPride Parade as decorative floats, festive groups and diverse displays make their way down Constitution Avenue. Spanning nearly 20 blocks, celebrate the LGBTQ+ community as the monumental backdrop of the nation's capital is decked out with pops of color and vibrant fanfare. Don't miss the post-parade concert headlined by Cynthia Erivo on the Capitol Concert Stage!
June 7-8 - WorldPride Street Festival and Concert
The Capital Pride Festival and Concert, already one of the largest LGBTQ+ events globally, will expand to two days during WorldPride Weekend. The expansive National Mall will host hundreds of thousands of attendees to enjoy exhibits, food and drink gardens, games and performances featuring local acts and national headliners.
June 8 - International March on Washington & Rally
Follow in the footsteps of historic figures and LGBTQ+ activists who have marched for freedom and equality. The International March on Washington & Rally will make its way through the city and culminate at the U.S. Capitol.
June 8 - WorldPride Closing Concert
Wrap up the festivities with an epic closing concert on the Capitol Concert Stage. Enjoy electric performances from Doechii, Khalid, 2AM Ricky and more to celebrate the final day of WorldPride 2025 in the nation's capital.
